Trullo - Puglia

Castellana Grotte is the closest town a 5 min drive from the house. It is a very charming little town where you will find small shops, restaurants and to die for ice cream.

Polignano a Mare is a small sea side town with two public beaches right in town. The high cliffs that the town is built on makes for spectacular views and are often the location for high swan dive competitions. There are several sea food restaurants in town.

The sea side town of Monopoli has a great fish market in the harbor in the early mornings. You can also go shopping for clothes and shoes in Monopoli. There is a Superga store that is highly recommended.

The picturesque baroque town Martina Franca has lots of winding alleys and beautiful piazzas. The perfect city for an afternoon stroll.

Bari is the capital of Puglia and is well worth a visit. There is lots of shops and sights to be visited. At the fantastic food hall and deli, Eataly, you will find delicacies from all of Italy. This is a great place for lunch.

Matera is located in the Basilicata province right on the border to Puglia. The city is listed as a UNESCO world heritage as it is very unique. The old town Sassi, is partly carved out in the limestone and the city is often referred to as the cave town.
